AirJoule® improves energy efficiency of HVAC systems
Superior Latent Energy Removal
Traditional air conditioners must remove both latent energy (energy contained in water vapor) and sensible energy (temperature of the air) from ambient air.
Since the invention of modern air conditioning in 1902, this has been done by passing air over an evaporator coil that has been chilled with either cold water or a chemical refrigerant. This lowers the temperature of the air below the dew point, and water vapor condenses into liquid form.
In a humid environment, the removal of humidity can account for 60% of the energy requirements of the air conditioning system. By utilizing AirJoule® to harvest the water vapor from the air, power consumption can be reduced by up to 75%.
How AirJoule® works
AirJoule® utilizes advanced sorbents and cutting-edge engineered systems to extract pure, PFAS free, distilled water from the air.
